Chargers Pull Out Late-Game Win, 2-1
|
Detroit left-hander Justin Martin helped his team edge Las Vegas by the score of 2-1. Martin kept the opposing lineup in check. The Rollers, at 44-30, have lost 7 in a row.
Detroit took a 2-1 lead on Joe Amero's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Amero hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Las Vegas pitcher Danny Beasley visibly frustrated.
"Things will change for us," said Las Vegas manager Mike Beck. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
