Chargers Rally to Win, 6-5
|
The Detroit Chargers battled the Quebec City Admirals into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Chargers won it, finally, 6-5, in 10 innings. In the game, Detroit right fielder Paul Kloser hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Detroit reliever Steve Arthur was the winner. His record is now 7-6. Doug Sproul took the loss. The Admirals, at 31-34, have lost 5 straight games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Kloser hit a changeup from Doug Sproul for a solo home run. The Chargers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Kloser said, postgame.
