The Newark Eagles and Winnipeg Buffaloes rewarded fans hoping for a nail-biter.
Led by Orlando Huichapa, the Newark Eagles downed the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 7-6. Huichapa was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Eagles. The win has Newark at 23-39.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Huichapa hit a fastball from Steve Turnbull for a solo home run. The Eagles, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
In postgame remarks, Huichapa said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
