The Newark Eagles and Winnipeg Buffaloes provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Winnipeg Buffaloes downed the Newark Eagles, 6-5, at Eagles Park. The Buffaloes were led by Chris Kayser. Kayser went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The last-place Eagles have lost 5 consecutive games.

The Buffaloes got a big at-bat from catcher David Homeyer. For the game, Homeyer went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Winnipeg a 4-3 lead.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson.
