Admirals Squeeze By Newark, 3-2

There was no shortage of dramatics at Quebec City Grounds.
The Quebec City Admirals eked out a 3-2 win versus the Newark Eagles at Quebec City Grounds. Nobody did more than shortstop Zach Edwards. He was terrific. The winning pitcher was 38-year old right-handed pitcher Kenneth McBean. He tossed 112 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Quebec City trailing 2-1, Edwards jumped on a curveball from 32-year old right-handed pitcher Joe German and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Admirals had a walk-off win.
"That's baseball," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
The Admirals, at 28-29, have now won 5 straight.
