Drillers Suffer 5-3 Home Defeat
|
The Vacaville Steelheads racked up a win at Drillers Field, bumping off the Edmonton Drillers, 5-3. Javier Aguilar, who started for Vacaville, pitched effectively for his team. Dal-soo Kim finished the game for Vacaville and earned his 3rd save. The Steelheads have an impressive 35-22 record.
Had Devin Buchanan not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Buchanan hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Steelheads.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Buchanan.
