Edmonton Nets 2-1 Win Versus Caracals
|
In a tight tilt between the Edmonton Drillers and the Calgary Caracals, Nick Green was the deciding factor. The Edmonton left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. By defeating Calgary, the 5th-place Drillers improved to 21-25.
The decisive blow was delivered by Travis Holmes in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 35-year old left-handed pitcher Blake Jackson to win the game for Edmonton. The home crowd went nuts.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Green.
