The Ottawa Capitals used the hitting of first baseman Rafael Tobar to subdue the Newark Eagles, 10-3. For the game, Tobar belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. T.J. Johnson, the winner, improved to 4-3. He held Newark to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The East Division-leading Capitals are 28-18.
