Fans who congregated at Drillers Field were treated to extra-inning drama.

Edmonton got a terrific game from left fielder Luke Luna. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Mexico City, 7-5, in 11 innings. Luna went 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Danny Bullard earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 1-0.

Mexico City used the hitting of Harry Pinard to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Aztecas on top, 7-5. For the game, Pinard had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Mexico City Citizen, Pinard said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The win boosted Mexico City to 19-16.
