|
Quebec City right-hander Rob Neugebauer helped his team edge Las Vegas by the score of 3-2. Neugebauer kept the opposing lineup in check. In 7 innings, Neugebauer surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Getting the save was Cody Reilly, his 6th.
Had Ricky Bernal not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bernal hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Admirals.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Quebec City skipper Bobby Dirnberger. "I can't complain."
The Admirals now have a mark of 17-17.
