Saskatoon Gets 7-5 Win Against Braves
|
Green Bay third baseman Marc Walter had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Saskatoon at Moose Grounds. Walter went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Saskatoon reliever Izaiah Sanders got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Lisuarte Apstola was tagged with the loss. The Moose now own a record of 17-10.
Mark Cruz was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk for Saskatoon. The 36-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Adam Lucas. It was his 14th walk of the season.
"We've got a great group of guys," Cruz said, "and we're having fun right now."
