Fleetwings Pull Off Thrilling 4-3 Win in Extras
The Allentown Fleetwings handed the Newark Eagles a 4-3 defeat in 12 innings at Fleetwings Ballpark. First Baseman Chris Tarter starred for Allentown. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win belonged to Ken Zimmermann in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Tom Henderson took the loss for Newark. The Eagles fall to 5-10.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the 12th. With Allentown trailing 3-2, Tarter jumped on a curveball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Tom Henderson and hit a 2-run home run to left-center. With one swing, the Fleetwings had a walk-off win.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson.
