Howard Berard of Hamilton easily handled the Sherbrooke Canadians, stopping them on 7 hits and chucking a complete-game 6-0 shutout.

"He really did a job on us," said Sherbrooke manager John Guzman. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."

He finished the game with 9 strikeouts and no walks in a solid outing.
