6-4 Aces Win over Peanuts Evens Season Record
|
The Las Vegas Aces had to overcome a big game from San Francisco center fielder Chris Phillips to leave Caesers Palace Colosseum with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-4. Phillips was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Las Vegas pitcher Adam Muhammad earned the win, hiking his record to 6-1. Edwin Quevedo suffered the loss. Jared Booth earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.
Ken Gibbons drove in one run for Las Vegas. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Edwin Quevedo. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
"No complaints from me," said Aces manager Julian Riegel. "I like what I saw out there."
The Aces improved their record to 13-13 by beating San Francisco.
