Boston 4-3 Win Hard-Earned

The Boston Shamrocks faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Jose Sierra, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Trident Field by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Sierra went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Darwin Harvey notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 3-0. The Shamrocks raised their record to 13-12.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Josh Olson? The 26-year old right fielder Olson stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Boston up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
Chicago manager Seth Butynski said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
