Year Over for Blues Bhattacharya Saturday, September 19th , 2009 Vij Bhattacharya will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the New York City (R) starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Bhattacharya was injured while throwing a pitch in the Blues-Warriors clash at PBC Rookie Development Complex recently. Doctors said he has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 13 months. To date this year, Bhattacharya shows a 3-3 record, 0 starts, 41 innings, 53 strikeouts and a 3.95 ERA. |
