Season Possibly Over for Tom Humphries Friday, September 4th , 2009 A blow for Tom Humphries today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 13 months with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Humphries suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Chicago (R) Blackhawks are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Humphries's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this season, Humphries has compiled a 1-4 record with a 7.19 ERA in 17 starts. |
