Thompson R Winner, Top Hurler in August Tuesday, September 1st , 2009 Last month was a very successful month for Billy Thompson of San Francisco (R). So successful that he has been honored as the Pitcher of the Month in the PBC Rookie Complex League. Thompson shut down league hitters in fine fashion, rounding out August with an impressive 4-0 mark and 1.35 ERA in 6 starts with 28 strikeouts in 33.1 innings. In 16 starts this season, Thompson has fashioned a 7-3 record and a 2.89 ERA. |
