Super Month Nets Gutierrez #1 Batter Prize in R Tuesday, September 1st , 2009 Roberto Gutierrez may be much younger than other hitters in the PBC Rookie Complex League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in August to win the Batter of the Month award. The 18-year-old Las Vegas (R) third baseman hit .343 with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Gutierrez is hitting .284 for the season with 12 home runs, 44 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has 75 hits in 264 at-bats and played in 64 games. |
