Knights Howell to Miss Year Wednesday, August 26th , 2009 The doctors have spoken and Charles Howell of the Los Angeles (R) Knights didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Howell sustained his season-ending injury during the St. Louis (R) Lions game yesterday at PBC Rookie Development Complex. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Los Angeles (R) medical staff reported Howell had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. |
