Fujii Gone for Season in Washington (R) Tuesday, August 18th , 2009 The season is apparently over for Ryousei Fujii. The Washington (R) Warriors medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 12-13 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Fujii was hurt in the game against Dallas (R) while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. On his stats sheet for the year Fujii shows a 2-4 record, 14 starts, 58 innings, 68 strikeouts and a 3.26 ERA. |
