Bell on Fire: Burns Las Vegas (R) with 3 HR Thursday, August 13th , 2009 It was a good day for the Washington (R) Warriors and an exceptional one for Ryan Bell. The 19-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Warriors beat the Las Vegas (R) Aces, 12-5, at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Bell said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 8 runs and smacked 4 hits in 4 at-bats. Ryan Bell hit a GRAND SLAM off Jordan Buijs in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jordan Buijs in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Danny Gonzalez in the 7th. Currently Bell has 5 home runs and a .289 batting average. |
