Moreno Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, July 25th , 2009 Rodolfo Moreno extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games in the 8-3 St. Louis (R) triumph over the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder. The 18-year-old Lions center fielder collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Rodolfo Moreno flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Oscar Torres in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year, Moreno has hit .297 with 4 home runs and 33 RBIs. |
