Freeman Whacks 3 Out of the Park for Denver (R) Sunday, June 28th , 2009 Justin Freeman was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 11-5 Denver (R) Cutthroats triumph at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The 19-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Cutthroats past the Dallas (R) Texans. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Freeman told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The right fielder went 3-for-5, rung up 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Justin Freeman hit a two-run home run off Ivan Rapoport in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Ricky Leyva in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Edgar Rodriguez in the 8th. This year, Freeman is batting .268 with 5 home runs. He has scored 10 runs and driven in 14. |
