Badir Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, June 27th , 2009 Los Angeles (R) lost to the Houston (R) Mavericks, 2-1, at PBC Rookie Development Complex, but Ronald Badir kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 3 hits. The Knights center fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Ronald has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Los Angeles (R) manager David Franco told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Ronald Badir singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. For the season, Badir is batting .451 with 23 hits and no home runs. He has scored 8 times and batted in 5. |
