Hernandez Batters Boston (R) Big Time Thursday, June 25th , 2009 A jubilant Bob Hernandez joined the postgame press conference at PBC Rookie Development Complex to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Boston (R) Shamrocks pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Philadelphia (R) Keystones center fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-7 hitting performance, which led to the 7-5 Keystones win. "He made it look easy," said Harry Webb, manager of the Shamrocks. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Bob Hernandez struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Will McDonnell in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 10th and hit a two-run double in the 11th.
