Savala Cracks 5 Hits Monday, June 15th , 2009 A jubilant Willis Savala joined the postgame press conference at PBC Rookie Development Complex to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the San Francisco (R) Peanuts pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Dallas (R) Texans left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 20-8 Texans win. "He made it look easy," said Tyler Rohrback, manager of the Peanuts. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Willis Savala walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Seth Folks in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.
