ABC's Top Pitcher in September Is Windom Wednesday, October 1st , 2008 The Amateur Baseball Circuit hitters didn't have a chance in September when the Manhattan Liberty manager wrote "Windom" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, Zaire Windom held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 4-0 mark and 1.12 ERA in 5 starts. The talented Liberty star pitched 32 innings, fanned 44 and held opposing teams to a .165 average. For his superb mound work Windom was named the ABC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. Windom has fashioned a 7-6 mark for the season, 2.42 ERA and thrown 119 innings in 19 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .213 against him. |
