Titans Richards Out Rest Of Season Monday, September 28th , 2009 The season is finished for Austin Richards of the Long Beach Titans. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Titans closer suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Providence Grays. Team doctors said it would take at least 14-15 months to heal. This season, Richards has notched 16 saves with 88 strikeouts and 28 walks in 66.2 innings while registering a 4.99 ERA and a 5-7 won-lost record. |
