No Late-Season Magic Coming: Houston Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 27th , 2009 Looking at the bigger picture, Dan Wood of the Houston Apollos said he's excited for what's to come in the years ahead for his squad. But in the present, he said, the club is quite disappointed with the realization today that they are now mathematically out of playoff contention for the 2009 season. This is the 6th time in a row that the Apollos have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2003. |
