Monarchs Win East Division Crown Thursday, September 24th , 2009 The Manchester Monarchs have taken a big first step in winning the franchise's first Amateur Circuit Cup. "We're champions of the East Division and now it's time to get that championship," said starting pitcher Jim Eklund. "The fans deserve it and all the guys in this room want to bring that title home." It is the club's 2nd division title and although they have never won the league championship, manager Allberto Menagem said the club will "certainly be prepared" once playoffs begin. |
