Monarchs Purchase Lost for Year Wednesday, September 16th , 2009 Manchester has lost reliever Jim Purchase for at least 8-9 months. He was hurt in a game against the Mavericks while throwing a pitch and sustained a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. His doctors said Purchase will probably be out the rest of the year. So far this year, Purchase has nailed down 4 saves. His won-lost record is 3-2 with a 3.28 ERA. |
