Gnomes Tilley Gone for Year Friday, September 11th , 2009 Kevin Tilley has to call it a season. The Yuma Gnomes closer sustained a season-ending injury against the Boston Battalion and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Tilley was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a damaged elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 9-10 months. Tilley has nailed down 3 saves to date. In 20.2 innings he has fanned 18 batters and walked 11. His pitching record is 2 wins and 4 losses with a 7.40 ERA. |
