Playoffs? No Chance for Yuma Wednesday, September 9th , 2009 Even the most die-hard fans of the Yuma Gnomes will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Gnomes reliever Adam Booker. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the 3rd time in a row that the Gnomes have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2006. |
