Boyar Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Thursday, September 3rd , 2009 With 1 hit at Coyote Park, Terry Boyar added another game to his hitting streak -- the Brooklyn third baseman has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Atlantics, as they fell, 10-5, to the Albuquerque Coyotes. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Albuquerque manager Jaden Johnson said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Terry Boyar struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this season, Boyar is hitting .316 with 9 home runs, 32 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 83 hits in 263 at-bats and has played in 67 games. |
