Garbis Whiffs 16, Long Beach Tops Franklin Saturday, August 29th , 2009 Chris Garbis of the Long Beach Titans put on a pitching clinic at Long Island Park, as he struck out 16 Franklin Knights in a 2-0 victory. Garbis, who is tied for 5th in the ABC in complete games with 1, was simply magnificent, holding the Knights to 1 hit. He walked 2. "I felt okay at the beginning," Garbis said, "but eventually my changeup really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Garbis's performance, Titans manager Kyle Boss shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
