Boyar Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, August 28th , 2009 The Brooklyn Atlantics fell to the Fort Wayne Farmers in Atlantics Ballpark, even as 24-year-old third baseman Terry Boyar upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Boyar finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Atlantics from dropping the 6-1 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Boyar. Terry Boyar flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. This season, Boyar is swinging the bat at a .314 rate with 76 hits in 242 at-bats. To date he has hit 7 home runs, scored 35 runs and driven in 23. |
