Time's Up: Booker to Retire Thursday, August 27th , 2009 Adam Booker of the Yuma Gnomes announced his retirement from Amateur Baseball Circuit today. The 36-year-old veteran told reporters that he has enjoyed his time playing ball, but that it is time for someone else to have a shot. "It's a young man's game," Booker said, "and I'm not a young man anymore." Booker has 9 wins and 12 losses over his career in addition to 10 saves. He has posted a career 3.56 ERA and recorded 259 strikeouts in 207.1 innings. |
