Apollos Alsbury Gone for Year Saturday, August 22nd , 2009 The season is finished for Nick Alsbury of the Houston Apollos. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Apollos starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Franklin Knights. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal. This year, Alsbury has 5 wins and 3 losses and a 2.50 ERA. |
