Jensen Records 1-0 Shutout Against New Orleans Tuesday, August 18th , 2009 It wasn't easy but the Providence Grays made it look that way. Starter Nate Jensen shut out the New Orleans Buccaneers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Providence Grays cruised to victory, 1-0. Jensen allowed only 5 hits and rang up 11 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Looking at his season stats, Jensen has won 5 and lost 3, collecting 103 strikeouts and 37 walks in 82.2 innings with a 2.83 ERA. View Boxscore View Game Log |
