Maddukuri Belts 3 HR Against Long Beach Wednesday, July 29th , 2009 Kulisaya Maddukuri went yard three times in a Fort Wayne Farmers victory over the Long Beach Titans at Long Island Park. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Fort Wayne left fielder went 3-for-4 against Long Beach with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Farmers to the 8-1 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Kulisaya Maddukuri hit a solo-shot off Ken Fisher in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Austin Richards in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Austin Richards in the 8th. So far in 2009 Maddukuri is batting .189 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 24 hits in 127 at-bats and a .264 OBP. |
