Deal: Henderson for Olvera Tuesday, November 24th , 2009 Ottawa and Quebec City announced today in a joint press conference that 23-year old RHP Jim Niemier, 24-year old minor league CF Owen Delcambre, and 23-year old RF Joel Henderson will be going to the Admirals in exchange for 32-year old LF Alex Olvera. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. Olvera has a career .282 batting average and .387 on-base percentage. He has recorded 385 hits with 73 doubles, 1 triple, 75 homers, 209 RBIs and scored 212 runs since coming into the league. |
