SPBC Names Most Valuable Player Award Winner
Wednesday, November 4th , 2009
The manager of the Vancouver Bruins said he thinks Dave Shook is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 26, but it will be hard to top the left fielder's 2009 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Most Valuable Player Award.

His winning campaign featured a .286 batting average and a .376 on-base percentage this year. In 80 games he piled up 84 hits, 14 doubles, 2 triples, 28 home runs, 68 RBIs and 44 runs scored.

He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 18. Zach Rentz of the Quebec City Admirals finished second in voting, while Jeremy Bailey of the Newark Eagles finished third.
