SPBC Choice for Batter of the Month is Tucker Thursday, October 1st , 2009 There's nothing like putting up good, solid numbers in the last year of your contract. Today Steve Tucker helped his contract negotiations by nabbing September's Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Batter of the Month honors. The Winnipeg left fielder put together a .435 batting average with 11 home runs, 23 RBIs and 15 runs scored. Someone will surely be opening up the vault this offseason if Tucker continues at this brisk pace. This year, Tucker is hitting .398 with 12 home runs and 26 RBIs in 24 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .454 with 11 walks and 16 runs scored. |
