Albany Narrowly Wins East Division Tuesday, September 29th , 2009 Fans of the Albany Senators can breathe a sigh of relief - the East Division is now clinched. The postseason race came down to the final days of the season, but in the end Albany has outlasted division rivals to claim the top spot, for the 1st time in franchise history. "We want to bring the 1st SPBC Classic Series to Albany. For our fans, our players, our coaches, our city, that's what it's all about," said an excited Jim Feldman. The starting pitcher went on to say that no matter who his team is up against, he considers them favorites. "I like our chances," he said. "We've got a lot of confidence right now." |
