That's exactly what Dave Shook did at Estadio Azteca, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-7. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Shook said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Vancouver Bruins left fielder blistered the Mexico City Aztecas for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Mexico City manager Zack Englund said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Dave Shook hit a two-run home run off Josh Schisler in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Schisler in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Luis Galdamez in the 8th. This season, Shook is batting .287 with 20 home runs. He has scored 34 runs and driven in 54. |
