Mexico City-Southern California Swap: Cosme for Pelech Sunday, August 30th , 2009 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Mexico City Aztecas have swapped 32-year old LF Alex Cosme and 23-year old minor league RF Brad Miller to the Southern California Empires for 21-year old minor league SS Rich Pelech. The Aztecas GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." Cosme has a .244 average and a .306 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 58 hits, 5 home runs and driven in 30 runs. |
