Best PBC Hurler Chosen for 2009 Sunday, November 8th , 2009 The Tampa Bay Thunder have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Kevin Schuerger, this year's Professional Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Schuerger compiled a 12-6 record in 22 starts, tallied 141 strikeouts in 145 innings and recorded a 2.86 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .233 batting average against him. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 18. Jose Giraldo of the Washington Warriors finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Earl Dunbar of the Houston Mavericks finished third with 2 first place votes.
