Best PBC Reliever Named Wednesday, November 4th , 2009 The Professional Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award for 2009 has been bestowed on Washington Warriors relief specialist Gennaro Velo. The 28-year-old bullpen ace, out of Conselice, Italy, nailed down the award with 30 saves in 36 relief appearances, 49 strikeouts in 36.2 innings and a record of 2 wins and 2 losses to go with his 1.72 ERA. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 18.
