Tampa Bay Takes Cup Qualifier Thursday, October 15th , 2009 All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Tampa Bay Thunder are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Washington Warriors are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently. The Thunder took a 4-1 victory at The Thunder Bowl today, which gave Tampa Bay a 4-2 series win. With the win, Tampa Bay will advance to play in the Pro Circuit Cup. "We aren't ready to go home yet," said Thunder second baseman Jesse Byrd, who was named series MVP. The Pro Circuit Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Cup Qualifier finishes.
